Green-Arrow: Automated Reporting Fields

Overview

This is a description of how our automated reporting is generated for users of the GreenArrow platform.

How Reporting is Generated

Our reporting is generated through the published API access guidelines and subsequent direct read-only database access as defined by the vendor.  The data is collected and written in the form of CSV files to a location where the customer can retrieve it from our FTP/SFTP site.

Things You Can Do That Affect Reporting

In order for complete metrics to be availabe you must make sure the Open and Click tracking is enabled on your campaigns.  Without it we can only report on bounces, unsubscribes and possibly complaints.

Reporting Metrics:

Specific details provided:

  • Campaign Summary-- This shows a bunch of information about each campaign including when it was started, it's status, messages sent, bounced, opened, privacy options, click and open tracking, etc.
  • Per Campaign Drill Downs (we provide CSV files for each campaign with this information):
    • Opens-- these are the members that opened your email and when they opened it
      • Any designation of "unique" is usually the first time they clicked, other clicks by the same person will not be considered "unique"
    • Clicks-- these are the members that clicked on one or more of the links in your emails
      • Any designation of "unique" is usually the first time they clicked, other clicks by the same person will not be considered "unique"
    • Unsubscribes-- these are the members that unsubscribed by clicking one of the unsbsubscribe methods
    • Bounces-- these are members that could not be delivered to and we also record the SMTP diagnostic data

Making Sure They Are Enabled:

  1. When you are setting up a campaign you must make sure that you have enabled Click Tracking and Open Tracking or we will not be able to record these activites
